A sustainable society

Södra Skogsägarna has not given up on a future were we can still have a well-functioning society without exhausting the Earth’s resources or affect the climate. Building solutions based on sustainably produced wood are essential to make the equation possible – and Södra makes massive investments to make that happen.

Many of the building projects realised thanks to Södra products and techniques – not least cross-laminated timber – were almost unthinkable only a decade or so ago. It’s real, and it’s happening right now. And there’s more to come, as the environmental aspects of large-scale building receive increasing attention.

In a film where the locations subtly cover the wide range of wood building possibilities, we told the story about Södra’s solutions and ambitions. All is centred around a fundamental belief: that building a sustainable society starts in the forest.
