good for you, good for the planet
Tellus/u was a smart and playful tool we created to help companies and their employees build better habits – habits that benefited both the individual and the planet.
The idea was simple: one good action could have twice the impact. Tellus/u encouraged people to make climate-smart choices in their everyday lives, while their efforts also contributed to tree planting.
During a set period, each participant could earn up to four trees a day. They earned one by choosing a vegetarian meal, one by leaving the car at home and one by walking 10,000 steps. If they completed all three, they earned a fourth tree as a bonus.
For every tree earned, a real tree was then planted through the organisation VI-skogen around Lake Victoria in East Africa. The trees supported local farmers by providing shade, firewood, building materials, animal fodder, food and medicine. And, of course, the trees absorbed carbon dioxide – turning a series of small, everyday choices into something with a lasting impact on the climate.
Tellus/u showed that doing good don’t have to start with grand gestures. Sometimes it starts with lunch, a walk or simply leaving the car at home.

Each company had their own scoreboard.
