Meet new worlds
Elmia
As a brand, Elmia faces a somewhat unique challenge. The name is well known among the general public and across many industries – but it carries very different meanings depending on whom you ask. That’s not surprising, given that the brand has essentially always been built through the marketing of its individual trade fairs. For many of their respective visitors, Elmia Wood, Elmia Agriculture, and Elmia Subcontractor are all simply “Elmia.”
After doing thorough internal work to define things like culture and values, Elmia felt ready to let the overarching brand meet the market, claim its place, and come to life. A clearer story would help all target audiences discover the greatness and breadth of Elmia – beyond the version they already know.

The new brand identity includes two new typefaces, an extensive colour palette, and geometric elements that can be used separately or combined to create the subtle image of a dialogue between people.

The portraits, linked to the five core values of Elmia, were designed for easy adaption in different media and formats.

This portrait and the text tell the story of Elmia’s green spaces – and green thinking.
We started with a workshop where voices from all parts of Elmia had the opportunity to be heard. Many opinions were shared, and countless stones were turned. After that, we could begin laying the foundation for what ultimately became a completely new visual identity, with upgrades to everything from typography to imagery.
The overarching message, “Meet New Worlds,” reflects both Elmia’s continued belief in physical meetings and the venue’s role as a gathering place for various industries, interests, and cultures – or “worlds,” if you will.

The simplicity of the speech bubble pattern opens for many different uses.
We make your brand a digital attraction – with human experiences that evoke emotions, create reactions, and build relationships.
